Frequently Asked Questions
The questions we hear most often from new and returning patients.

What we treat
Do you offer braces?
Yes — for both adults and children. We fit traditional metal braces as well as more discreet clear aligner systems. We'll start with a consultation and digital assessment to recommend the right option for your situation.
Do you do extractions, including wisdom teeth?
Yes. Routine extractions and surgical wisdom tooth removal are both done here at the practice — there's no need for a separate referral to an oral surgeon for most cases. Local anaesthesia keeps the procedure comfortable, and we offer sedation options for anxious patients.
Do you have a hygienist?
Yes. Our dental hygienists handle professional cleanings (scale and polish), gum-disease management, and personalised oral hygiene advice. We recommend a cleaning every six months as part of routine preventive care.
Do you do root canals?
Yes. Root canal treatment lets us save a tooth that's infected or badly decayed instead of removing it. Our dentists use modern techniques and on-site digital X-rays to make the procedure as straightforward and comfortable as possible.
Getting an appointment
Do I need a referral?
No. You can book directly with us for any of our services — cleanings, fillings, root canals, extractions, braces, implants, cosmetic work and more. New patients and walk-ins are warmly welcome.
Do you have X-ray on site?
Yes — this is one of the biggest things our patients appreciate. We have digital X-ray equipment in the practice, so there's no extra trip to a separate radiology clinic. We can image, diagnose and treat in the same visit.
How do I book?
You can book online through our booking system, call us during practice hours, or pop in. Online booking is usually the quickest way to see what's available.
Payment & medical aid
Which medical aids do you accept?
We administrate most major South African medical aid schemes — Discovery, Medscheme, Universal Health and many others. The quickest way to check your specific scheme is our medical aid checker. For medical aids that we do not administer, payment can be settled on the day of treatment — we will provide you with a full statement to submit to your medical aid for reimbursement.
Can I pay cash if I don't have medical aid?
Absolutely. Cash patients are very welcome. A standard cleaning and check-up is approximately R650, with a small discount for cash payment. We'll always give you a clear quote up front before any treatment begins.

Both practices are closed on Sundays, public holidays, and for an annual summer break covering the last week of December and first week of January.
Where are you located?
