Dr A.I. Thomas & Partners offers specialist oral and maxillofacial surgery led by Dr Andrew Thomas, who completed his maxillofacial surgery training in the United States. Our surgical scope ranges from routine, uncomplicated procedures through to complex cases, and we manage both with the same care and attention. Procedures are carried out either in our rooms under local anaesthetic — with sedation available for anxious patients — or in theatre when a case calls for it.
This includes the surgical removal of impacted and difficult teeth, the management of broken jaws and facial trauma, and the removal of cysts and growths of the mouth and jaw. We also treat tumours and cancers of the mouth and jaw, covered under our oral cancer and tumour surgery. Where treatment is best managed by a wider specialist team, we coordinate the appropriate onward referral.
Care for children
We also work with children who have craniofacial conditions and special needs, planning treatment gently and patiently around each child. Cleft lip and palate are managed by dedicated specialist teams, to whom we are happy to refer.
